Things are heating up for music mogul Simon Cowell, after media personality and judge, Sharon Osbourne accuses Cowell of underpaying her for The X Factor UK.
Osbourne hit the airwaves with Howard Stern, and candidly spoke of her X Factor experience. The seasoned ITV competition show judge is gearing up to return to the UK talent show franchise.
However, Osbourne is accusing Cowell and the production company behind X Factor (Syco Entertainment) of not upholding salary demands in her contract.
After hearing that Cowell spent 10 million dollars to bring on Robbie Williams and his wife Ayda Field, Osbourne wasn’t happy…to say the very least. “I have a clause in my contract: favourite nations.” The X factor judge explained. “I’m like, OK, I have favourite nations: where’s my [explicative] 10 million?” To which Stern clarified “The clause is that you should make as much as anyone else?” Osbourne added, “Thats right. I’m waiting to hear…you want me, you have to pay what I’m worth.” Amen sister, we are right there with ya!
We can’t say that Osbourne is wrong, Fields has no ties to the music industry and is being paid that hefty salary…why shouldn’t Osbourne be awarded the same?
Osbourne also discussed her excitement of coming on during the live segments of the show. Relief doesn’t even begin to describe how Osbourne feels about not having to listen to the not so talented performers in earlier weeks. “They all suck, and it’s like: is this karaoke or what?” Ouch! In all honesty, we can’t argue with Osbourne because there are a lot of difficult auditions to sit through. It is entertainment after all!Osbourne also left America’s Got Talent over salary concerns. If there’s anything we can learn from this interview…it’s dont mess with Osbourne or her money!
