Japanese automaker reveals plans to make it's first luxury pickup truck

According to Makoto Tanaka, Lexus product chief, there is a possibility of the firm manufacturing it's pickup truck. However, this might happen later rather than sooner because the carmaker is focused on making a compact crossover and seven-seat version of the RX.

Motorauthority reports that the Lexus pickup will be made solely for the Middle East, Russia, South America and parts of Asia.

Lexus' plan to build it's first truck comes after Mercedes Benz announced that it making a mid-size pickup truck with its alliance partners, Nissan and Renault.
