The Bachelorette star Gabby Windey, who is currently competing on Dancing with the Stars Season 31, recently gave an update about her relationship with former fiancé Erich Schwer. Fans have suspected that the couple might have split up after they saw that Windey wasn’t wearing her engagement ring.

Insider Confirms Gabby Windey, Erich Schwer Broke Up “Earlier This Week”

On November 4, an insider confirmed Windey’s split from Erich Schwer. Apparently, The Bachelorette couple parted ways earlier this week.

“She felt they weren’t aligned and weren’t on the same page,” the insider said. “Gabby was hoping they could give each other space and work it out but ultimately decided they didn’t have a future.”

This was no surprise to fans, since it had been noticed that she wasn’t wearing her engagement ring on DWTS. In addition, another fan chimed in to add that Schwer “hasn’t been in the audience for the past two weeks,” even though he was present for previous shows this season.

“I think life is just really busy for the both of us right now,” Windey told Fox News when asked about her relationship status. “So, I understand their concern but we’re just kinda, you know, going forward with each of our individual interests and supporting each other from afar.”

People points out that Schwer recently showed his support for Windey on Instagram stories, writing, “Vote Team Gabby!! Ten times PPL. She keeps on crushing it.”

During the show’s Elvis-themed night earlier this season, Schwer even got involved in Windey’s Viennese waltz routine with partner Val Chmerkovskiy. The couple shared a kiss after Windey danced to “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”

Windey Is Doing Well on DWTS Season 31

While fans might be concerned about the status of Windey’s relationship, they don’t have to be as concerned about her performance in Season 31 of Dancing with the Stars. She and Chmerkovskiy even earned a perfect score for their Tango to “Good Girls Go Bad” on Prom Night.

Earlier this week, Windey danced with Alan Bersten as her partner after Chmerkovskiy tested positive for Covid-19. The pair earned a score of 38 for their Argentine Tango to “Shivers” and a 33 for their Team Freestyle to “The Witches Are Back.”

If Windey takes home the Mirrorball trophy, she would be the third Bachelorette star to win the show, after Hannah Brown in Season 28 and Kaitlyn Bristowe in Season 29. Meanwhile, Season 15 winner Melissa Rycroft appeared on The Bachelor.
