Emotional tribute
The duo then performed "Bad and Boujee," Migos' hit song that reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2017.
This marked the first performance for Offset and Quavo together since Takeoff's death.
It's worth noting that Offset did not perform with Migos during their festival dates the previous year, so this was their first time on stage together in at least a year.
Offset's wife, Cardi B, expressed her appreciation for the moment on Twitter, stating that she was proud of the boys.
The 2023 BET Awards continued with other performances and presentations, including a lifetime achievement award presentation to Busta Rhymes.

In November 2022, the manager of Migos attributed the death of Takeoff to a stray bullet.
Takeoff, 28, was shot dead after an altercation at a gaming facility in Houston, Texas after an altercation.
According to Daily Mail, dramatic footage captured the moment Takeoff and his uncle Quavo engaged in an argument before the shot rang out.
The rapper was pronounced dead at the scene after the ill-fated shot struck him in his upper body.
